I like Jaime. I don’t like Cersei.
Now watch the fandom scream “SEXIST!”.
Here’s the reblog that you so desperately wanted.
How do you feel now?
I’m feeling charitable today and will also give this poor soul the attention they are seeking.

She is one! There’s no doubt.
LOLWUT.
Oh, there are doubts. Many doubts. since you know, there is no textual evidence to support that (besides Cersei’s delusions).
“It bothers me when people say Arya is an unrealistic character. I am Arya. Anyone who knows the character, especially those who knew me at her age, think we’re the same person. She’s a completely realistic character.”
lol stop

“Brian Kinney is a slut.”
QaF fandom: Omigod, that is so accurate. He’s such a slut and Justin’s such a slut and I love them for it. They are my slutty, slutty OTP. May they live in slutty bliss together for the rest of their slutty…

wut.
Okay, I’m not even going to get into the reclaiming slut argument. I am just baffled, and baffled is a massive understatement tbh, that you can say
If someone truly doesn’t want to slut shame, then they shouldn’t shame other people for claiming a sex positive usage of the word “slut”.
with a straight face. Slut shaming has never meant that. Ever. And you do not get to assign some random definition of what slut shaming ‘truly’ means just because people are being mean to you (and by this fandom’s standards, they’re being quite civil).
Also, people need to stop using this quote
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”
whenever they’re getting shit for their opinions. This quote is meant to apply to people who cannot change what they are - whether it be a dwarf, a bastard or whatever else society deems undesirable - not to people who are too dimwitted to understand why they are wrong or else too stubborn to admit it.

Aww, look at little fantastwatcollective, trying to defend fan-fiction. Its kind of funny. No, not kind of. Its really hilarious.
Just accept that you’re a sad cunt for supporting an activity that most likely is illegal (yeah, I know it hasn’t been proven either way in court, but there’s plenty of well-informed opinions that support that it would found be illegal if tested) and definitely very rude and a good sign of someone being a shitstain on the world when it goes against an author’s wishes.
George owns his setting. He owns his characters. He has the right to license any projects he wants and to deny licenses to other. Playing favourites? Aww, sad that you can’t write your Jon/Robb porn to get off all on you own? Seriously, get your cunt-stained fingers off characters that you have no right to use.
Also, for fuck’s sake, learn English. Fan-fiction. Notice the fiction part? Its not art (that’s fan-art, see the trend?), its not anything else that isn’t fiction.
I know there are some books there that have been accused of being roleplay sessions turned into stories, but for the most part…yeah, not the same thing. Fictional, maybe, but not fiction.
I might also add, not that my intended audience has enough reading comprehension to get it, that we do not use book characters on our game simply because its something most authors — even when they approve of their settings being used — are uncomfortable with.
How about you go write some slashfiction about your neighbour’s children? I am sure you can masturbate to that too.
LOL WTF at the last line. What does that have to do with anything.
But honestly, I don’t give a fuck about the legality of fanfiction. I would support it even if it was illegal, much like I support online piracy. You can whinge on about the rights of the authors all you want but I will never see it as anything but an author being butthurt that someone else is playing with their precious toy. They can get the fuck over it.
Also, learn English? That’s rich coming from someone who supposedly runs a translation business but can’t even translate one story into English.
I look forward to your future ramblings, Linda.

It is like an early Christmas present, watching the little girls as they try to say that there’s nothing wrong with unauthorised fan-fiction.
When someone makes up a setting and characters, its their toys. They decide who gets to play with them and in what ways. Because, you know, they own them.
In some cases, a person might say “look but don’t touch”. Then you shouldn’t take one of the toys and bend it over while you shove another toy up its ass, not even if you think it was mean of them to just show you the toys. You can go off and play in another sandbox if you don’t like the rules.
Got that, little girls?
Wow, how fucking dense are you. While I’m sure you understand how condescending ‘little girls’ is, that’s why you used it, you are not helping your case when it comes to sexism in any way.

The response from some of you is not what I expected. He doesn’t want you to write fanfiction because he doesn’t want to have to take his own fans to court about it. He’s legally obligated to do so because he wants to defend his property, which the books are. It’s not selfish at all when you look…
Gurl, you are veering dangerously close to Diana Gabaldon territory here.
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in awhile, but I expect others will tear it apart far better than I could, so I’ll just sit here and laugh.
