While waiting for season 2 I tend to post more non-ASOIAF related stuff than usual. But since it usually involves Nicolas Cage I think you should all be grateful that I am bringing his glorious light to your lives.
On the recent Nicolas Cage influx…
A friend and I had a Nic Cage marathon on New Years Eve, and I somehow ended up completely obsessed.
I admire his dedication to the art of bad film-making and how he goes all out for his roles, no matter how ridiculous he looks.
I have 3 New Years resolutions:
1.) Watch every Nicolas Cage movie ever.
2.) Lead a Nic Cage appreciation lifestyle.
3.) Steal the Declaration of Independence.
So the first two mean you’ll probably see Nic pop up on this tumblr from time to time. I’m working my way through his films and I’ll probably .gif all of them. It won’t be every day of course, so this shouldn’t really impact this tumblr’s main purpose as an ASOIAF blog.
Also, I realize the fact that I post the .gifs in text posts might be rather annoying but that’s because of the size limit on photo posts, which is 500 KB. If you see .gif photo sets where .gifs are really shitty quality or only have parts of the image moving it’s probably because they are trying to keep it under 500 KB. And I would rather just post quality .gifs in a text post, soooo.
I hope you all open your hearts and minds to the beauty of Nicolas Cage! He is perfection and we are blessed that he is willing to share his talents with the world.

Since turning off anonymous asking temporarily people having been using the submit function instead.
A lot of the people who send me anon asks are very lovely and nice and I appreciate their questions but others are clearly trolls or just ask the most inane things.
I’m really bored with tumblr right now. And my inbox constantly being filled with shit makes me feel guilty when I ignore it, so submissions and anon asks are both getting axed. Submissions might be opened again though when season 2 starts.

Ah yes. Unfortunately, I do not have high hopes because when even the most physically perfect man to ever grace the planet cannot pull off that bowl cut, there is a problem. ;)
As for favorite chapter in ASOIAF, let me think…a certain wedding chapter in ASOS is extremely satisfying!
For LotR, the last chapter, The Grey Havens, is really beautiful and moving and omg, I’m not crying, it’s just raining on my face. It’s been years since I’ve read The Silmarillion so I don’t remember it very well unfortunately. I should reread it again, I think I would appreciate it more now that I’m older.

Moving on, my tumblr experience has thus far been a lovely one! I’m looking forward to all the madness season 2 will bring (also I will be able to play GoT drinking games, so you can all look forward to drunk postings! They will be even more rambling and incoherent than my sober ones.)
