While waiting for season 2 I tend to post more non-ASOIAF related stuff than usual. But since it usually involves Nicolas Cage I think you should all be grateful that I am bringing his glorious light to your lives.

He was a heartless man, obsessed with the iron throne and his heritage and he sold his sister to get what he wanted. There’s no reason to like him.
No shit, Viserys was an awful person. We all know that. But unlike Dany he was actually an interesting character. Can you imagine how much better Dany’s storyline would have been with Viserys in her place? He is so hopeless/delusional/insane that it would have been a failure of epic proportions. Dany is also a failure but a boring one.

But that’s a completely different matter. Look at how much Dany grew throughout season one. She started out as her brother’s pawn and now she’s embraced her freaking awesome blood of the dragon heritage. I’m sure she’ll be super badass as the series progresses.
I LIKE her better than Viserys because he was an awful person and she’s not only adorable, but awesome. But I do think he shouldn’t have been killed off this early - his delusions of grandeur might have turned into an epic arc or something.
