Following the quote I just posted, someone was wondering how that was shading JKR or why he should have mentioned her.

Maybe that he didn’t mean to insult JKR in any way, it’s quite possible.

I just wanted to make this post in case any of you were wondering what the history of HP, ASOIAF, and the Hugos was and why I think George is butthurt in general over it. In 2001 Goblet of Fire won the Hugo for Best Novel instead of A Storm of Swords, and following that win George made this quote:

Eat your heart out, Rowling. Maybe you have billions of dollars and my Hugo, but you don’t have readers like these.

Diagnosis? Butthurt.
